Summer Learning Program in Seattle & Federal Way


Summer learning loss prevention for middle school students.

The Summer Learning program is a six week course that provides scholars academic support in reading, writing, science and math. Through ethnic studies curriculum scholars participate in hands-on learning opportunities to better understand social issues around them. Activities include, mural art projects, poetry slams, and t-shirt design.

*Youth/ Demographic Served – Latinx, First Generation, Youth of Color;  Rising 6th, 7th and 8th grade scholars in Beacon Hill/South Seattle Area or Federal Way/Kent Area

*Outcomes – Scholars will receive academic skill building support to prevent summer learning loss and enter the next grade at or above grade level.
