The Center for Disease Control formally recommended the Pfizer pediatric COVID-19 vaccine for 5 to11-year-olds and the vaccine is expected to be available in Washington State later this week. For those of you wishing to have your child vaccinated, there will be a variety of accessible options including your regular doctor’s office or clinic, your local pharmacy, as well as community vaccination sites, and community clinics. Data Supporting Need for a Booster Shot

According to the Centers for Disease Control: Studies show that after getting vaccinated against COVID-19, protection against the virus may decrease over time and be less able to protect against the Delta variant. In partnership with International Community Health Services, Seattle Children’s Hospital, the University of Washington Medical Center, Seattle Fire Department, CHI Franciscan Health (Virginia Mason), Adiós Covid, UW Medical Center, and Sea Mar we have given over 1200 vaccinations.
